1st Cast was founded to not only introduce, but to provide a fishing family for inner city kids ranging from 8-16 years old. We fish bi-monthly on Saturdays, and trips are about three hours in length. Our morning trip runs from 9am-12pm and the afternoon trip runs from 3pm- 6pm. we do not fish during inclement weather. We teach basic fishing technique, etiquette, how to handle and release fish, and clean up for future fishing. Most importantly we aim to have fun, and enjoy being outdoors. We look forward to passing on our knowledge "If you give a man a fish, he will eat for a day. if you teach him to fish, he will eat for a lifetime."
