First Cast is a nonprofit organization, we rely on funding from donors to ensure the continuation of the rogram. We understand that there may be people who would like to make contributions, but may not be able to give monetary donations. Please understand that there are other equally important ways for you to help the program make a difference in the lives of our children. All donations can be dropped off to our Treasurer at the First Cast office.
Ways to Donate:
Equipment
Donations of new or used fishing rods, reels, tackle, tackle boxes, and other fishing equipment or accessories will be used to supply children who do not have personal equipment.
Monetary
Donations of money will go towards necessities for the program, such as gas, bait, any needed equipment after donations, program fish fries, anything needed for the continuation of the program.
Time
We understand the value of your time, and how important that time is to the children. We encourage parents to sign up to chaperon a trip, help with transportation, or assist with Fish Fry's. Parents are always welcome to join in on the fun.
Snacks
Our trips are scheduled to last 4 hours if the weather cooperates. We aim to refuel our bodies and minds with snacks after 2 hours of activity. If your child has any food allergies please let us know so that we can plan ahead.
